After Saturday turning into a nightmare , I guess Karma decided she owed me one. Sunday came and brought along with it the best church service I have attended in years , making several new friends at the fellowship luncheon , and even remembering to bring a dish as it's pot-luck ! I was back on my game ! We came home from a throughly delightful time at church , got comfortable , and headed out to Lowes to see about getting that washer and dryer replaced. To put it politely , I would have rather cheweed my right arm off than have to take her into a store of any kind right now, but this was something Bill and I had to do together, so there was no 'leave her at home ' option. I'm pretty sure she would have rather endured an all day bout of diarreah than go into 'the boring store' with us, but everyone is still alive, so it must not have been too bad.
We carefully selected our set, and got all the delivery paperwork mumbo-jumbo complete, and it turns out we showed up on the last day of their super sale ! So , we saved $400.00 ! Woo-Hoo ! Talk about Jesus throwin' me a big ole' meaty bone ! Huzzah ! :-) I was so happy I cam home and made pork tenderloin, stuffing and the "Zucchini of the Gods" for dinner last night ! Bill was so thrilled he was beside himself ! After dinner , I made homemade play-dough with Wednesday ,and we had a blast ! Then we watched "Mamma Mia ! " (her current fave), and then, it was bedtime. As usual, i took a minute to check my e-mail on the ipad and do some other random things. Then , i got to thinking . What are some things to do with all of Bill's old newspapers ? ( you may recall , we made a commitment to eco-friendly living when we moved here , and we meant it ! ) He gets the state paper 7x a week, and the local paper 3x, thats a LOT of paper !
The first few things I found were all things I already knew, use them to mulch your flowerbeds, to pack breakables, shred them up and put them in the composter , use them to clean your windows etc . Then I saw a tutorila about turning old newspaper into gift bows and roses , I though that was just about the neatest damn thing I had ever seen ! So , I clicked on it , and it led me to PINTREST !
30 minutes later, I had joined pintrest , and pinned nearly 100 things ! The only thing that finally got me to sleep was the battery wearing out on the ipad .When I did sleep, i dream't of garden arbors made of cattle fence, and plant pots made of old coffee cans, Herb gardens in paint cans ! Roses grown in potatos ! ( they can do that !) Suddenly , the world was my oyster ! I could do ANYTHING ! I was drunk on knowledge ! Suddenly , I felt like I could conquer this household stuff and totally make it my bitch ! YES ! I'm gonna do this ! Wooooooooo-Hooooooo !
Bill awoke this morning to a woman full of recipes, and how to's. A confident woman ready to take on her house and yard , AND THEN THE WORLD !

It may be a while before I write again. I have discovered a new form of internet crack that may keep me indisposed for a while.
If i'm not doing internet crack, I will probably be kicking some house work ass !
or making paper mache , or some other something I saw on Pintrest . . .
